Dated: 20 April 2025
A heartwarming awareness program was organized under the auspices of Aisha Saleem Welfare Trust. The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by the respected Qari Muhammad Younas, followed by a naat (praise of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him), which filled the gathering with spiritual light.
The program officially began with a speech by Mr. Muhammad Nadeem, CEO of Ayesha Saleem Welfare Trust. He highlighted the importance of children with special needs and shed light on the challenges they face. He emphasized that no child should be deprived of treatment. “Our awareness agenda,” he said, “is to knock on every door and reach every home with help and hope.”
He elaborated on the Trust’s services, including speech therapy, cochlear implants, hearing devices, physiotherapy, vocational education, and training programs — all aimed at helping these children secure a dignified place in society.
Following this, the Trust’s Administrator, Mr. Gulfam Shoukat, gave a briefing on the Information Technology (IT) sector. He stressed that IT is a fundamental need of the modern age — it not only simplifies lives but also opens new pathways for progress.
Next, Mr. Muhammad Shoaib Manzoor, Director of the Business Incubation Center at Mirpur University, shared his views and appreciated the efforts of Aisha Saleem Welfare Trust.
After him, Mr. Usman Rafiq, Headmaster of Bindi, sincerely praised the ongoing efforts of the Trust. He expressed happiness over the constructive and developmental activities taking place in Bindi and acknowledged the contributions of the local community.
Several other respected teachers also shared their valuable thoughts and added depth to the event.
Mr. Yousuf Farooqi, Retired Regional Chief of State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan, also praised the Trust’s endeavors for the betterment of special children.
In conclusion, Mr. Abid Aslam, President of Anjuman Tajran Chowki, paid tribute to the services of Aisha Saleem Welfare Trust in beautiful words. He admired the efforts being made for special children and called them a noble example of humanity.
The program concluded with a collective prayer.
We pray to Allah Almighty that Aisha Saleem Welfare Trust continues to grow by leaps and bounds and becomes a source of positive change in the lives of even more children.
Awareness Program Agenda – Aisha Saleem Welfare Trust
The core objective of our awareness programs is to educate people in rural areas about the challenges faced by children with hearing and speech impairments. Many of these children are left behind due to delayed diagnosis or lack of timely treatment. It is important to understand that age plays a critical role in the success of treatments like cochlear implants and hearing devices.
Through our outreach efforts, we aim to deliver this vital message to new communities — encouraging families to take early action so their children have a better chance at development and integration into society. Our purpose is to ensure that no child is deprived of care simply due to a lack of awareness.
This is why we have been conducting these awareness sessions. We are now nearing the completion of the third phase of our initiative, in which we will visit various institutions and distribute informative leaflets to spread our message further.
InshaAllah, we will continue this mission with the same spirit, reaching more people and bringing hope to more children.
